As of this writing, the course hasn't been updated since 2016. The title of the first section is "learn create website interaction" which isn't grammatically correct. The same section is almost two hours long but provides nothing about website interaction. Instead, it serves as an introduction to JS (variables, functions, statements). I have gotten about a dozen courses from this instructor as freebies and I get the impression that he is just recycling content (one regarding JS) and putting out course after course that essentially cover the same topics. There is still some debugging going on as he presents each lesson which I'm not very fond of but his argument is that it helps future programmers get accustomed to editing their code on the go. Still can't comprehend why the title of this course includes DOM when the section that covers it takes up only a third of the whole course duration.

Good information overall. My only complaint is that some of the stuff is a bit rushed when explaining the content. I also wished you provided the starter code before each lecture so that we didn't have to pause the video and pop the code in the editor to code along with the lessons. Other than that this is a decent course that I learned a lot from.

I liked this course. I am taking a web development course at college. However, my college prof relies on students' knowledge and skill sets gained from a different course. This filled in the gap. Thanks.

Mr. Svekis doesn't fail to disappoint again. Another mediocre rehash course with tons and tons of fluff. Videos start like TV ads - high-pitched voice in the beginning, monotonous voice throughout. 1 star for the effort and half a star for the semi-project like effort

Thanks to the Instructor for showing the real power of javascript which seems to be worthless for which I've studied in my high school

I found this tutorial great, so far. Concepts are being taught with appropriate examples. Video quality is vivid. Author just need to add some project with this tutorial to grab the remaining 0.5 stars. Happy Learning !

Presenter, while knowledgeable, is a little slow. Its ok, I understand that everyone learns at a difference pace, but I thought the content could have been sped up a little.

Well explained about the basics of JAVASCRIPT. Learned how to handle arrays, objects, functions and loops. Slow methodical teaching by the instructor. Loved the course very much.

Unprepared in some lessons when giving examples that do not initially work. As a result, it is difficult to learn along the way.

While the information in the video was good, I took off "points" off for there being no file resources to download. While HTML was provided at the end of every section, no CSS was. I was able to create my own stylesheet to approximate his webpage but I didn't take the course to practice my CSS knowledge.

Updated 2 stars to 3.5. Lots of interesting details are skipped on the way, examples are not always consistent with the talking, but that makes the viewer go check other sources for information.

not that the content is difficult, but there's no interaction thus far. Breezing between code pen, web pages and text editors without step by step explaining what's going on. The HTML page with nav tags, images etc could confuse a beginner into thinking they've missed out on something.

I've been studying many of Mr. Svekis' JavaScript courses and I'm noticing vast improvements. I learned a lot from this course.
