I have been trying to find how to customize tooltips and have been unsuccessful finding someone with this knowledge until now.

On one hand, awful intonation, almost like a text-to-speech voice. On the other hand, editting out the silences between sentences makes it very distracting and annoying because any time she speaks, there is background noise, so it becomes a repetitive hammering on your ears. Investment on a proper microphone and/or a quieter recording environment is needed for these purposes.
You can also notice this bad editting at some points where a sentence is cut in the middle and resumed quickly, presumably because she stuttered or said something wrong and instead of re-recording she cut out the wrong parts. Again that is very distracting and annoying.
Impossible to follow through and a huge disappointment having previously taken other Pierian course with Jose Portilla as the instructor. I wish he himself would re-record this whole course because he's an excellent professional and I've really learnt a lot from him.

Well I never write any review on Udemy this the first time I am writing a review because of the content. The instructor is very boring seems like she is just reading a piece of paper where the script is written. This course is hardly of 12 hours but it seems me to take more than 12 weeks to finish because of very inactive instructor. Plus there is no hands on or capstone to create a interest. There are many courses on Power Bi but I choose this course because of Jose but he doesn't teach this course instead a lady name Loren is the instructor. I f you are planning to buy this course my recommendation would be don't buy.

The early part on visualizations was pretty much what you find in most intro to Power BI courses. The sections on data modeling and security were especially interesting.
For the next revision, please note that "..." is an "ellipsis", not an "ellipse" which is a curve. More than one "ellipsis" are "ellipses" just as this "(" is a parenthesis while this "()" is a pair of parentheses.

Power BI has been updated since this course, and many things are different - especially installing PBI in the first place.
Data supplied is not explained.
Lesson titles do not match content (e.g. M Language)
Instructor spends way too much time repeating very basic things (telling a data science audience that 'column charts go to the ceiling, bar charts are horizontal!'), and the useful things - connecting databases, using SQL, comparisons and connections with programming languages are either absent or hidden. Not recommended.

I cannot in any seriousness recommend you go through with this course. I have spent more time trying to get the data to work to follow through with the demos than actually going through the demos. It is poorly presented, filled with quality issues and is just a truly abysmal way to introduce someone completely new to the product. Despite comments that the resources have been fixed they have not. In previous courses errors in any data or in any of the videos have been made abundantly clear and have been easy to work around. This course just causes confusion without any tool tip or advice on how to work around the problem. It is truly terrible and especially disappointing considering the high quality of the other Pierian courses.

For a start the narator is not Jose which was not obvious to me when I signed up for the course. I've enjoyed his courses before and this was the main reason I signed up for this one.
While the narrator obviously knows her Power BI, it wasnt very easy to follow or code along. It wasn't always obvious what template was being used / if any from the resources so it wasn't easy or intuitive to participate while you watched.

awfull nothing productive and simply a waist of money and udemy denied to give me the refund for this course which is a big shame for the company policy as they have clearly mention that within 30 days if you are unsatisfied with the course you are eligible for the refund but despite all this thing they have breach their own policy of not fulfilling their procedure criteria the company policy is a scam this is great to know as it was my first try as i dont like the course and they gave an inappropriate reason for that so anyone who will be using udemy dont buy the course as they no longer obeying their 30 days money back guaranteed and i will advise you to go for Datacamp as it has more resources and great policy terms interms of the customer satisfaction and Service and facilities i have a legal right to challenge and sue this company by mentioning this in the internet and spread to all the people to be aware of this

I'm just not impressed with the course or the course instructor. There is no explanation of the files that are included. Or at least not one that I've encountered. The instructor suggests that you can load the 'sample' file to follow along but there is not sample file. The instructor's screen is really hard to look at because it is so small. Hoping things improve eventually.

The course covers a wide range of topics and functions of Power BI. Unfortunately, while this course shines in the amount of information it covers, there are a number of issues with this course.
The biggest one is the issue with the dataset. The dataset provided is outdated, and it seems that the instructor has not been able to provide the dataset shown in the videos. This is a big issue, as it makes following along much more difficult.
The next issue is the presentation. The instructor seems disorganized. There are also typos on many of the slides. While these are not extreme issues, it is a testament to how much effort was left out of the development process of this course.
Unfortunate that this course seems to shoot so far below the bar that many of Jose's other courses have been able to meet.
I wish I could give this a higher rating, but the quality of this course seems like it was hastily thrown together just to start making money off of it.

I had high hopes for this course but right off the bat the Calendar data file wasn't included in the download Class_Data.zip file. After several students asked for the Calendar file one was added but it didn't match the file used by the instructor in the demo. After waiting for over a week and the correct Calendar file was uploaded, I created my own calendar file and moved on. When I got to lesson 9 the Sales data didn't match the data used in the demo either. I am requesting a refund and won't be purchasing any other courses from Jose Portilla.

An absolutely awful course to endure. Not only is the instructor incapable of presenting the content in an engaging way and defers to droning on in a monotonous way through the slides, the data files supplied do not match the instructors video session, resulting in visuals that are completely different and extremely confusing. Some work to transform the data within PowerBI does result in some correction, but later lessons highlight even more issues which makes it impossible to follow the instructor at all. Claims that the files have been re-uploaded to correct any errors are misplaced, and the "Q&A" section is crowded with students voicing their concerns and issues- all of which appear to be ignored. Waste of time and money
