The course was average. Many of the videos need updating and it is very frustrating when the code doesn't work and you read the comments and everyone else is having the same problem - it can't take long to update the videos that everyone is struggling with. The teaching style in general was not very clear and with a lot of waffle. It's clearly made for the American audience with many examples that don't make sense for others e.g. the baseball project.

I loved the first part, very practical but the machine learning part is lacking clear statistics explanation. You don;t jave to go in deep but certain parameters are kind of key to explain the models and are not really explained at all.

I am putting a bad review because nothing is mentioned about probability and statistics. also, the coding part was too basic for someone considering to dive into the field of data science. you should have prerequisites here.So far it is a waste of time...

I had mixed feelings throughout this course. The course is divided into two parts, one of general understanding of R basics for data science, and one specifically about machine learning. I didn’t enjoy particularly the first part, and actually felt a bit let down by a few really promising sections that instead were treated superficially and did not really teach that much. In particular, the section about SQL was totally useless as there is no explanation but only some guidance on where to find help, and the section about “regular expression” was a total joke, because it wasn’t about regular expressions in R at all. The second part, however, was really awesome, and totally worth the effort to get there. I have followed the indications and did the reading assignment before the lessons, which has helped me a lot and I highly recommend, and I have loved that each section had a project to go through, which has been really helpful to learn. Another plus side was the presence of the notebook: the instructor has certainly done a lot of work to put together all the resources, and all the data sets used, and it is really very nice. Overall I recommend the course, but I would advise the reader not to put much hope in the first part, as it is a bit shallow, but the instructor redeems himself in the second part, doing a pretty deep dive into machine learning.

Everything straightforward, but the video for R and RStudio installation instructions is based on obsolete versions and mainly obsolete url and webpages. It would be fair to update them for dummies and beginners.
