Great refresher course if you're a bit rusty, the instructor runs over all the fundamentals from the getgo in an efficient and easy to understand manner.

The course if Very basic but it would be nice if he provided the HTML and CSS so we can add it to our own code editor and follow along. He also says what we will be creating at the very start but then talks about Var's and what they mean. needs to be organized a little more. Nothing he said is wrong just not the best thing to follow.

Its good and as a free source the course they are providing is good but it will be benefit if you have pre knowledge about those topics, since they are teaching from scratch.

The lecturer goes through the explanations as if we knew everything and just limits himself to show what "this" code can do. This is found very clearly in the exercises he gives throughout the course, when he asks you to complete an exercise without even explaining in previous chapters how does a function work, or the properties you need to know about that object. I think that, by the time I reached the first functions exercise, he only named the word "function" once, and not for teaching me how it works or what it is (in fact it is the next chapter, and doesn't even mention how to do the exercise). I think this course, or the lecturer himself, needs to take into account that if the course's name is "Essentials of Javascript" the people who sign up to this course do it because they want to start learning this language, not because they just have to refresh knowledge. I'm spending more time outside the course trying to learn the content than inside the course, which says no good about the job done here. I will only complete this because I don't want to leave a course unfinished.

All in all my impression of this course is very positive: The teacher is explaining all the things very understandable while showing concrete code examples all the time. Furthermore frequent exercises helped me to practise the learned stuff. Although I´m an absolute beginner in JavaScript it was quite easy to understand the stuff.

he goes a bit fast and maybe could explain a bit slower, i found myself using the 15 sec back a few times

I enjoy the course, the instructor speaks clear and he explains the concepts, so you can comprehend the topic.

Only because it so far seems very basic and the instructor doesn't initially sound super clued up as he talks basic stuff about unary and binary operators. Having said that, it maybe something that a total newby might appreciate, say if they had never coded in their life before.

I like the pacing of covering a lot of ideas in a short amount of time and then showing some exercises to reinforce.

Because everything is disorganized and how do you expect a beginner to benefit. No indentation in code. everything is raw. i think the teacher is a good programmer but has to prepare his notes well

The course wasn't what I expected. The code exercises were very basic and the submission button didn't work properly. If anything was wrong with my code, once I corrected and resubmitted it, the system still marked it as wrong. At one point I took the instructor's solution and copy/pasted it in as my code yet the code was still marked wrong. I often had to go back to the previous lecture then back to the code exercise to get it to accept my code.

If you're totally new to JavaScript it might be very good for you, but if you did at least the Codecademy course, you might skip to the last part when you learn how to validate forms in html document.

The content is not comprehensive. The correct solutions to the exercises result in errors. There are spelling errors in the exercises, solutions, and lectures. Took less than an hour to complete.

Lots of practice not for anyone who just wants to watch. So many exercises I really felt that I become familiar with each topic in the course. Great way to connect probably one of the best courses I have taken. AWESOME

I would highly recommend this course. I wish more courses had this many practice exercises and code samples. I find I can really get into what the instructor is explaining and try the code myself. I hope there are more courses like this in the future as I will be a student. THANKS
