In many tutorials just some reference to the website of cave of programming is given which is in fact a paid set of tutorials. Apart from that, videos seem to be interesting.

Extremely good exposition of the content which is eased even more by the resources left by the author. Well done!

This stuff is so out of date that it requires an enormous amount of updating. John needs to update this with the most current builds of the Spring Framework.

Material is a little bit outdated. Moreover the lessons look a little bit improvised. For the rest the topic is presented correctly and John is sure a great expert.

I had very basic knowledge of spring. Now I feel confident about programming in spring. The course content is good and connected to the basics.

I like the fact that the videos are short and focus on one thing alone it makes it easier to follow the course

Bought this course back in 2014. No other course can match this much explanation with demo till date.. Wonderful course. Will remember John as the one who taught me spring.

I really enjoyed this course despite its length. I loved that so much was covered in one course and 9/10 times, I felt every topic was well covered. The only complaints I have is this course in 2017/18 feels a little dated because it assumes the user will use Eclipse and it only briefly uses Annotations. I used Intellij Community Edition and followed the course with Annotations. It wasn't easy at times but with patience, the debugger, and lots of internet searching, I made it through.

Great content and explanation! The course is great for someone who learned the basics of Java and not sure what to learn next.

i should have viewed this course sooner so i could have obtained a refund. it's very out of date and watching was not enjoyable at all.

Very well and detailed explained. But I think that IoC principle and DI container application and motivation to use all this stuff should have more explanation. I read a lot to understand why I need to use DI container.

This course lets you master Spring fundamentals without hustle and at very comfortable pace. Of course you have to write code as you learn, and I find that just writing the examples with your perhaps a twist here and there that you add is good enough. But this is far more effective than reading a book - and I generally prefer a book. Part of the reason is the effective use of the Eclipse IDE without which you'll drown in the XML morass of Spring and Maven. I whole-heartedly recommend this course to anyone who wants to get up to speed quickly on Spring, but with a solid base.
