Create a dynamic input form that can add data and retrieve data from a MySQL database! Learn to create this project from Scratch

Instructor of this course is a web developer with over 15 years of experience working on hundreds of projects. Sharing real world coding experience.

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to see multiple programming languages working together. The end product will be a HTML form the can submit data via AJAX to a mySQL database. Using JSON formatted data we display all of the MySQL table contents within our webpage.

JavaScript > AJAX > PHP > MySQL vs MySQL > PHP > JSON > JavaScript

Learn how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, JSON, AJAX, PHP, MySQL together in one project.

Topics covered include

  • JavaScript Objects
  • JSON formatted data
  • JavaScript AJAX to retrieve data
  • PHP database connection
  • PHP arrays
  • MySQL database with PHPmyAdmin
  • MySQL query strings
  • CSS form and HTML
  • AJAX to PHP JSON formatted data
  • JQUERY AJAX

I know that not everyone prefers JavaScript for AJAX, so I also show you how to re-code the JavaScript AJAX to be JQUERY AJAX. Also some tweaks and code updates are included. In addition I transform the old PHP data code to newer formats so that students can see the different ways of writing PHP.

All the source files and top resource links are included, so that you too can work along with the code practice and learn better.

This course is full of amazing content you won't see anywhere else.

I needed to understand how to use JSON & AJAX with PHP, without an entire course full of stuff that I already know, this is perfect, just short quick and to the point

Random. More an demonstration than education. I have become more confused about many things. Explanations are not in depth, no real planning seems to have gone into this course.

It is an interesting course. However, I couldn't install XAMPP on Windows 10. Beware of Port 80 problem.

It's not the top-top, almost state of art course where the instructor also engages you with precisely selected exercises so that you learn the material on your own as well and more in depth. So in this regard it's more like a "how to" course than an learning class. But it is a really good and clear "how to" course and Iam fine with that because this is exactly what I was looking for. The instructor explains code as he goes and after he finishes he takes some time and goes over it again to explain what it does which is a big thumbs up. The explanations are clear and simple to follow as well as the code is. He shows at least three different approaches to solving the same problem (ajax calls to data base) and that is what makes this course great as well. Explained security issues and possible solutions in PHP adds value as well. Thanks to the instructor for sharing his knowledge and making it clear so that others can learn from it quickly and save lots of our prescious time. Thank you!

Content is great, once the text editor color schema was changed so it could be read. Great explanations.

Its hard to follow what he doing. I trying the first example and can't follow what to start with, do I rely on the supplied files in zip folder? should I be editing? He doesn't explain very well where he is starting and moves very fast for someone who suppose to help with the setup.-- It like I trying to understand the setup, and he already going into detail about how to change from the original setup? I know he missed crucial points of how he got there. I am very tempted to get a refund now, the second day, but I am going to try a few more videos to see if it make anymore sense. I have experience with php, mysql and html, and file management... but he is still confusing me.

What I see so far is invaluable information to me in this stage of my studies into Web Development. I am very exited even though this is just the beginning. Can't wait to get to the meat an potatoes of this course.

Start of most courses is terrible, because, each instructor has his own favorite tools, editor, browser, etc. This course is no different, just setting the tools is very time-consuming, especially when each student has the tools that he prefers., As I get further into the course, it is easier to follow along and the course is beginning to get to the point. I can see where we're going and how we're going to get there. Finished course, a great learning experience. Cleared up issues I've been having and got me on the right path. Thanks...

The teacher is very good, and he knows very well what he is doing. I was just a little confused because the course is not so well organized, not referring to the structure of units but to the process of making code (commented code from the previous lessons, different ways to do the same thing within the same code, etc.)

Excellent course!! This is a unique course. I have not seen any other Udemy course which shows the complete round trip sending and receiving web data using JSON, AJAX and then storing the data in MySql database using PHP. This knowledge will be very useful. The instructor is superb and explains each and every concepts throughly. A++++++++
