The course was a surprisingly concise introduction to Spark. About Scala, it cover the very necessary to use it with Spark. There are minor inconveniences with provided codes and with the updated version of Databricks which have changed so much from the one showed in the course. I recommend this course for those looking for a quick start to use Spark on production.

This course is so badly outdated. Spark is well into version 3 and this course is trying to teach v2. Hopeless.

It's a good introduction to Spark/Scala language, ranging form syntax to ML basic examples. I'd like to have all the documentation and resources to be updated from the beginning, instead of downloading an outdated version and then have to pay attention to the author's notes on each section

Vue que je suis étudiant en tant que Data scientiste je ferais en sorte que votre plateforme ne soit pas mis en avant et aussi à mes contacts. How José just dishes out courses without having minimal knowledge in regards to that technology is beyond me. The man incentivizes bad practices in Scala, teaches the absolute minimum that will not be sufficient for even reading Scala code. Content is weak, didactic is even worse.

This course is way too basic. No advanced topics covered in Scala. Throughout the lecture the instructor promised to cover topics which he ended up not covering at all.

More topics could be added on both Scala and spark. better explanation of spark commands used rather than directing to documentation for everything.
