Basic, but good introduction to web development. The course structure is well thought out and the instructor has a clear voice. Every lesson has a short preview of the next lesson. The downsides: the audio has quite a few hickups. The course is very short (just over an hour): if you bought it for the original price (129 euro) this is too expensive.

I was about to start developing, but I wasn't sure I had enough information about web generally, and how hosts work. Till I stumbled upon this course. It is really illustrative, and gives all basics you need to know about this subject. Thanks for the amazing course !!

This course provides a context to tackle the bewildering complexity of web development. I can see myself revisiting this course every so often as I progress through Udemy's catalog, just to understand what fits where. In general, I do find it maddening to get into the nitty gritty of HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, whatever, only to realize that I still don't understand what makes a website "click" (sorry for the pun). This course starts at 50,000 feet and tries to provide all the pieces to the puzzle, without getting bogged down in the detail level. I was put off a bit by the Powerpoint approach (probably a few too many years in the corporate realm) and at times the oversimplification of a few topics (but then he is trying to cover a lot of ground). Thus the 1/2 star docking. But this is a great place to start, and perhaps, to revisit.

Course for total beginners. Some basic terminology, explanation of some of the functionalities etc. You won't learn how to make a website, just basic concept of what people use to create one. I think that the author could dedicate some more time to explain some of the stuff and not limit himself just to list them. On the other hand, the author speaks very clearly and he's understandable even on 2x speed :)

The way I look at things is IF I learn 1 thing that I can use going forward, then depending on the cost, it would be worth it! In this course I learned a few tips and tricks I never knew and given the class was Free for me to enroll; it was well worth my Time!!

Good intro. Lots of repeating the same stuff over and over. Monotonous voice. Sometimes the voice gets cut off, there is a pause and then it comes back again.

Good set of topics. Clear discussions. Nice set of web resources and tips. Good introduction but can cause confusion because of lack of depth (but it is meant to be short and it is free).
